Autumn Fiske’s journey into travel began in the small fishing village of Lockeport, two hours south of Halifax. At just 16, she took her first job at the local Visitor Information Centre, where she met travelers from around the world discovering Nova Scotia. Those two summers sparked something bigger. Autumn knew she wanted to build a career in tourism, which led her to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and a Master’s degree in Tourism Management from Royal Roads University. From coastal Nova Scotia to global destinations, her path has always been guided by curiosity and connection.

Adventure travel is where her passion lives. For Autumn, it is the most meaningful way to experience local culture and support community tourism enterprises. Since the pandemic, she has seen a powerful shift toward small-group travel and more intentional exploration that benefits local businesses and creates deeper, more immersive experiences.

Destinations she knows especially well? Costa Rica tops the list, a place she has visited four times and continues to return to for its welcoming people, extraordinary biodiversity, and laid-back beauty. She also specializes in destinations she has both traveled to and sold extensively, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, and Portugal.

And if you meet her in person, you will likely notice her long, natural curls. They tend to spark conversation instantly, making it easy to break the ice and start talking about the next great adventure.
